LawLeaf accepts articles, case comments, and legal opinion pieces from advocates, academics, and law students. Here’s what we look for before you send yours in.
Your article must be your own original writing and not published or under review elsewhere, in print or online.
Articles and case comments should generally run 1,200–3,000 words. Shorter news analyses and longer research pieces will be considered on merit.
Submit as a Word document (.docx) or Google Doc link, in a standard font, with footnotes rather than endnotes for citations.
Cite statutes, cases, and sources accurately. Follow a consistent citation style (Bluebook or OSCOLA) throughout the piece.
All submissions are checked for originality. Plagiarism of any degree will result in immediate rejection.
Include your full name, designation or institution, and a one-line bio along with your submission.
All articles go through editorial review before publication. We may suggest edits or, occasionally, decline a piece that doesn’t fit our current coverage.
We aim to respond within 7–10 working days of receiving your submission.
